Each bowl is made from high-quality wood and they are hand-carved to reveal the beauty seen in the color and grain of the wood. Wood is locally sourced and harvested in Kenya, without the need for any harmful fertilizers, pesticides or glues. We try to get as beautiful colors and patterns as we can by using of Jacaranda wood which is smoked to create the beautiful dark tan color. As these are all individually handmade, they will not all be identical. They are created by talented artists with a lot of passion to their work. Every piece bought from these artisans empowers them because that is how they earn their living.
